16. 7. 2010. Youth Initiative for Human Rights activist organised a street event as a part of the project “Citizen, that’s me”, which was supported by the Civil Rights Defenders. In addition to the street event, in cooperation with the youth organisation Proni they also organised a human rights workshop with youth from Brčko. The workshop took place on 16 July 2010.Nedim Jahić, the Project coordinator spoke for Radio Brčko about all issues relevant for implementation of the Project “Citizen, that’s me”, as well as about issues of common interest for BiH society. Our cooperation with Ms. Katarina Vučković from Proni Centre for Youth Development enabled promotion of the project and media coverage.
Alike in Bijeljina, Ruba Velagić, Adis Hukanović and Alisa Hadžić organised a human rights and activism workshop for Proni volunteers and youth of Brčko. This activity was recorded by Emin Hajrić, cameraman and will be presented as a part of a documentary “Citizen’s courage: Brčko and Bijeljina”.
In spite of high temperatures that day in Brčko, the street event was successful if measured by the contacts established with citizens of Brčko.
