30. 4. 2010.Activist team in Sarajevo (moja.inicijativa/my initiative) has been developing since December 2008, and has been a platform for activities performed by hundreds of activists. The operations include development of the project proposals, realization of projects, reacting on different political and social events in the society, participation in citizen activities and protests in area of human rights and fundamental freedoms protection, participation in seminars and debates, and organization of workshops intended for the team capacity building.
The activist team and its representatives participated in numerous public discussions related to the minority rights, transitional justice, youth rights, judiciary reform, peace building, constitutional reforms, legislation changes, etc.
The activist team organized ‘Activism of my street’ project (Gornji Vakuf / Uskoplje), dealing with issues of involvement of young people in ethnically divided communities, segregation, and apartheid in the education system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project was proclaim the best youth project under the SHL sponsorship in 2009..
The activist team volunteered in organization of DocuCorner within the Sarajevo Film Festival, Days of Sarajevo in Belgrade, international theatre festival MESS –Sarajevo. In 2010 the activist team was involves in organization of the Civil Society Forum – event gathering non government organisations. As a part of all the aforementioned activities we were successful in organization of exchanges with participants from the region.
The activist team organised study visits concerning transitional justice (Lukavac, Tuzla, Srebrenica, Kravice), commemorating historical dates related to exodus of victims during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992 – 1995, and actively participated in organization and discussions within consultations for REKOM.
Several LFA trainings, public relations, report writing, project planning trainings and workshops on different specific thematic human rights areas were organized for the activist team.
